Brighten up new bedrooms with plain dyed bedlinens

Plain dyed bedlinens could bring a new bedroom to life

Converting loft space into an extra bedroom can add up to 20 per cent to a property's value, it has recently been revealed, but consumers may wish to keep their costs down when decorating the room, which could be achieved with new plain dyed bedlinens.

According to Nationwide, more bedrooms mean more value and while a new double bedroom could push an asking price up by 11 per cent, a loft conversion that features a bedroom and bathroom could see £26,000 added to a property which previously included three bedrooms and one bathroom.

However, as getting stuck into a loft conversion could be a costly exercise, Britons may be keen to budget once it comes to purchasing new fixtures and fittings.

Make a visual impact with new plain dyed bedlinens

It could be said that the main focal point of a bedroom is the bed itself.

With this in mind, homeowners may wish to make kitting out the bed in new bedlinen their first priority when it comes to decorating the space.

At elinens, consumers can choose from a large range of plain dyed bedlinens which come in up to 22 colour selections.

A variety of materials are also available to choose from, including polycotton, Egyptian cotton, Percale Cotton and Egyptian Cotton Blend.

By purchasing a variety of different bedlinens and keeping the decor of the bedroom neutral, homeowners could find that they can easily and cheaply give the whole space a makeover whenever they make the bed.

Furthermore, they could purchase new plain dyed bedding, such as a valance sheet, fitted sheet or flat sheet, to compliment an existing but unused bed spread, duvet set or bed throw.

How about a basement conversion?

But lofts are not the only conversions which could add value to a property.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Antony and Rachel Faretra from Manchester recently converted their basement into a utility room and a playroom for their boys.

The couple asserts that their sons "love" their new play area and parents considering doing the same thing may wish to purchase an additional small bed for their kids to nap on.

When it comes to bedrooms, it appears Britons really value their sleeping space.
