A property expert has dished out a number of great ways to keep on top of costs over the next few months in light of the current economic climate, with bed linen and duvet cover adjustments also recommended.
A bargain-hunter and property mogul has spoke of a few ways to update the bedroom without having to splash out on costly things left, right and centre.Home customisation extraordinaire Kirstie Allsopp imparted her wisdom in the Times and said that people need to conserve every penny possible.
The expert said people are sometimes willing to spend £40 on a door handle, though five or six matching ones for the entire house will soon see £200 or more disappear.
Becoming an expert at sewing could also save money, Ms Allsopp states, with bed linen and duvet covers being adjusted from a double to a single bed resulting in it being used effectively should a person buy new bedding for their boudoir.
Location, Location, Location on Channel 4 was Kirstie's big breakthrough, later presenting Relocation, Relocation for the station to help people get the most value out of their property through interior decorating.
