EasyJet owner Stelios Haji-Ioannou, known for his range of budget airlines and other cut-price assets, is to prioritise bed linen and little else when he opens up EasyHotel in Bristol as part of a push towards cheap overnight accommodation.
Known for his great deals through the airline and tourism industry, Stelios Haji-Ioannou is expanding to the world of budget hotels, with only very few items a priority. One of these is bed linen, which will accompany a simple bed, towel, mirror and en-suite shower in the average room at the new easyHotel in Bristol, according to This is Bristol.
The bedding can be made a more luxurious experience with a £5-per-night TV, or Wi-Fi access for the same price.
Chief executive officer of easyHotel Lawrence Alexander said that it was continuing to expand to major locations across the UK.
He added: "With a thriving business community and a growing reputation as a tourist destination, Bristol is a vibrant city that meets many of the criteria that we look for, including good national and international transport links."
The owner of the easyGroup has also established the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, which supports educational, entrepreneurial and environmental initiatives.
