Bed linen is 'tragedy of fashion'

Due to many people's dedication to looking great, many things are suffering, with bedding such as bed linens and Egyptian cotton suffering from repeated coatings of fake tan and make-up, a recent survey has found.
The bedroom is sadly on the receiving end of a lot of beauty treatment disasters, according to a new poll.Sheila's Wheels, the synonymous insurance firm, understood that ladies are prone to coating their beloved bed linen with a variety of product from the beauty industry.
For example, over half of respondents admitted to trashing their duvet covers and bedspreads with fake tan.
Hair styling products are also topping the list of disasters waiting to happen, with the hot appliances easily starting flames if applied on the bed and not the head.
Jacky Brown, a spokesperson for Sheila's Wheels, said of the situation: "That's why having accidental damage cover added onto your home insurance can be invaluable as beauty blunders become more commonplace."
Although it may not surprise many people, the Strictly Come Dancing tour got into a little bit of bother earlier this year after stars covered hotel bed linen in fake tan.
