Rooney's son 'will have blue bedding'
Published: 16 April 2009
In a bid to restore his support in his hometown club, Wayne Rooney will be kitting his future baby's bedroom out in blue, with bedding, duvet covers, wallpaper and curtains no doubt reflecting his roots at Everton.
Wayne Rooney has quickly responded to wife Coleen's announcement that she is pregnant, announcing that his baby will have a blue bedroom waiting for their arrival.Decorated in the royal blue colour of youth club and former Premier League home Everton, Wayne will harness the hue in carpets, bed linen, curtains and wallpaper.
Pictures of Goodison Park will adorn the walls and the club crest will take pride of place in the room.
Rooney once lifted his shirt in a high-profile game following a goal to reveal "once a blue, always a blue" on his shirt below, a phrase he hopes will ring true with his young one - even if he himself moved to Manchester United, drawing endless criticism from fans of his former club.
Wayne took great delight in taunting rivals Liverpool over their ineptitude at capturing a league title in recent years, adding that he planned to make them wait another year for their desire to be met.
