An eco-friendly bedroom is 'easily achievable'

An eco-friendly bedroom is easily achievable and people can look beyond the usual bastion of organic bed linen as a means of getting the look and feel, it is explained.
The master bedroom is a place that can be converted to reflect a love of the planet and environment, according to an expert.Linda Woodrum, a designer who works on US TV's HGTV Green Home 2010, told Napsnet that the bedroom and the home in general is able to benefit from a much more green outlook, which can transcend the use of organic bed linen.
After focusing on a mood for the master bedroom through key choices including colour decorations, one can ensure it looks clean and natural with both organic and recycled materials such as reclaimed woods for furniture.
She added: "Reduce, reuse, recycle. Unique pieces, such as a dining room table made from reclaimed wood and a light fixture made from a repurposed basket, make a room richer and more interesting."
Aisha Sultan of the St Louis Post-Dispatch recently explained that reclaimed wood is one of the key trends for interior designs this year.
