Brits are showing a fresh penchant for silk bed linen, it has been claimed, with sales up and down the high street on the rise.Many of the high street's big names have attributed this trend to homeowners attempting to smarten up their homes with posh bed linen, according to the Times.
The appearance of budget airlines flying at low freight costs has helped to make exotic bed spreads and fabrics more readily available to Britons, which the newspaper indicates are often machine washable to meet British convenience demands.
However, customers should make sure that durable bed linen is also comfortable too, according to Marni Jameson, writing for the Arizona Daily Star.
In addition to fabrics, customers should also spend time choosing the right colours for their bedrooms as this can have a significant effect on the mood.
