Brits are wishing for white

White bathrooms are increasingly popular among those searching for a contemporary look.

While I love bright colours and patterns, it can often be a nightmare trying to put them all together in a way that doesn't look perilously haphazard.

I came across this predicament just lately when planning to redecorate my bathroom and I found myself overwhelmed by all of the possibilities.

However, there is one simple way to solve this problem and it is a design approach that Brits are going mad for at the moment.

"Colour wise, it is all white," a spokesman for Bathroom City explained. "The colours of old - aubergine, pink, avocado - are all out now."

White is a great way to create a "very modern, very chic" space, that is easy to clean and incredibly versatile.

My favourite thing about having a white bathroom is that I can accessorise until my heart's content, with an array of bold bath towels and flash flannels.

It also means that I can go crazy with art to inject a bit of colour into the space.
