The importance of spending money on things that bring about happiness has been emphasised by a Canadian reporter - with Egyptian cotton bed linen and duvet sets at the top of her list.
A Canadian reporter has revealed the lengths she goes to in securing a high standard of home life, making sure that her money is spent effectively on the luxuries that she feels are needed in her house. In a report for BC Local News, Maggie Calloway stated that at the top of her list was "the very best bed linen", noting that a passion of hers is having high-quality duvet sets and bedding to give her comfort and relaxation in bed.
She said: "The sheer pleasure of climbing into a bed made with Egyptian cotton sheets is, to me, magnificent."
Ms Calloway added that the benefit of Egyptian cotton over regular cheaper bedding is that it lasts for years longer, so they "don't cost more in the long run" for that added level of luxury.
A review by the Times noted that the five-star Wyndham Grand Chelsea Harbour hotel in London made guests feel like they are "not staying in London at all", using Egyptian cotton bedding on "huge, comfortable" beds for the ultimate luxury experience.
