Bed linen 'essential to creation of dramatic bedroom'

An American news provider has highlighted the role of bed linen in a bedroom's makeover, with bedding and duvet sets complimenting surroundings to give the room maximum visual impact.
Recommendations by an American newspaper have emphasised the impact that bed linen can have on a design that hopes to add drama to the bedroom.The Erie Times-News noted that as the most expensive piece of furniture in the room, the bed is the central feature of any design and as such must be treated to certain bedding and duvet set designs to match the surroundings.
In a design for a young teenage girl, columnist Debbie Travis said: "We used a black-and-white textured wallpaper that is bold and theatrical, a good foil for pink bedding and accessories."
She added that the use of lighter bedding with dark furniture was a better choice than similar shades as it would "bring the room alive".
