Divorced London lawyers 'most likely to lack sleep' Divorced middle-aged men who work as lawyers are officially the group most likely to suffer sleep problems, new research shows.

A study conducted by market research firm GFK NOP reveals men aged 55 are the least likely to enjoy a full night's rest.

It notes men in this group who reside in London have an average of just four hours sleep a night.

The firm's sleep report highlights work worries are the main concern keeping Britons awake at night, with financial concerns also causing restless sleep.

It shows the credit crunch is responsible for 15 per cent of the population suffering sleepless nights.

The Sleep Council of Great Britain recommends snoozers ensure their bedding is a comfortable and restful place in which to kip.

It urges people to make their bedroom and bed a restful, dark and quiet place in which to sleep.
