Offer guests luxury bed linen to help them relax in an unfamiliar bed. Use comforters and attractive duvet sets to make them feel at home in the bedding.
When welcoming overnight guests, it is important to offer them comfortable and freshly-ironed bed linen, an expert asserts.Wangeci Kanyeki, writing for the African publication the Standard, explains many people find it difficult to drift off in an unfamiliar bed.
However, providing soft and comfortable bedding can help them feel more relaxed, she continues.
A good host should ensure the bed linen is attractive and well-presented, Ms Kanyeki suggests.
"Add a choice of pillows with ironed pillowcases. Dress up the bed with an extra blanket, a bedcover, comforter or duvet for that finished look," she adds.
Last month, top home designers Colin and Justin recommended people buy luxury bed linen with a high thread count to help create that hotel comfort in their own bedrooms.
They commented that the feeling of luxury is not just down to the room's design but to the quality of the bedding.
