'Less is more' for summer bedding

Avoid going overboard with summer bed linen and instead keep things cool and simple, it is advised.

"Decorating for summer is all about decluttering," she added.
Fellow home decor expert Sally Thompson goes on to suggest that a new set of bed linen can give the room a cooler, lighter feel.
Heavy duvet covers or comforters should be replaced with light bed sheets, and dark accent pillows swapped for some in a paler shade.
People looking for luxury in their bedding should opt for 100 per cent Egyptian cotton, retailer Lombok suggested this week, as it is breathable and easy to look after.
