Bedding on the move: cash inside the mattress
Published: 21 August 2009
Given the last few months, it's hardly surprising that people are turning to bedding like their mattress to hide their money. But what about bedding on the move?
Banks in the UK have dropped in terms of public opinion, with a number of polls finding that people are increasingly distrusting the institutions and favouring other methods of keeping money safe.Quite a few of these people are ensuring their money is in a so-called better place with the old-school tactic of putting under the mattress, though what if they want this feature on their person when on the move?
Fred Flare and his friends have the answer, by simply developing the mattress into a wallet, not only providing a safety net for notes but giving a few more benefits too.
"Good for more than just carrying your credit cards and Benjamins; it's also great for sneaking in naps at work, with about 5mm of cushy fill, you'll be off to dreamland in no time," Fred Flare added.
One man who may have wanted this little gadget is John Darwin, the man who pretended to die before resorting to a constantly-deflating air mattress in a tent in Carlisle as part of his mission to lay low from emergency services.
