Colour is 'important in a feng shui bedroom'

People wanting to give their bedroom a great makeover with a spiritual touch may want to use feng shui principles when choosing coloured bed linen, duvet covers and other bedding.
The ancient art of feng shui centres on colour and this should be taken into account when choosing bed linen, it is stated.Nina Yun of CTW Features said that good energy can be channelled with the correct use of hues in the boudoir, as strong colours can be particularly overpowering and can affect a person's comfort levels.
Ms Yun explained: "Most people want romance in the bedroom and red is the associated colour, but don't paint your bedroom walls red.
She continued: "It's overkill. Most people can't sleep."
If people want to use colour in some way, the adoption of accents or lining in bedding or duvet covers may be the best option, the expert added.
Shelton Jaffie recently told the Morning Post of his great idea for saving money on bedding: cutting a memory foam mattress in half to serve the best interests of his guests and step-daughter at the same time.
