Certain foods 'will not aid sleep'

There is not a "magical food" that will help people sleep properly under their duvet covers.
Finding a link between food and sleep is no easy task, but one investigation has suggested that there may not be as much in common between the two as people think.Research carried out by delawareonline.com found that there is not a so-called "magical food" that will help people doze off better at night.
Speaking to the news provider, Michael Grandner, a sleep researcher at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Sleep and Respiratory Neurobiology, supported the findings.
He commented: "The bad news for people trying to talk about food and sleep is that ... generally it's hard to find foods that help with sleep.
"The easier question is what are the things to avoid?"
Australian researchers recently claimed to have discovered a link between sleep apnoea and weight gain, emphasising that inability to sleep worsens as a person becomes heavier.
The conclusion was drawn after analysing 20 years of sleep patients' records.
