Pretty Little Liars could be influencing bedspread choices for the future.

Anyone who's seen the popular ABC drama Pretty Little Liars will know that Emily Fields' bedroom is every teenage girl's dream, and one journalist has offered her hints on how to achieve the look.

Jessica Rae of Small Screen Scoop said the competitive swimmer's room is characterised by a white, vintage wrought iron bed that adds a touch of vintage class, while yellow bed spread and a lacy dust ruffle make it sunny and feminine.

A spray painted chair with a hot pink seat and wicker baskets add to this classic yet modern look, with the dominant colour scheme decidedly yellow and white with touches of green, pink and purple.

"Showing off achievements is important to Emily (especially when it comes to swimming), so whatever is important to you should have a strong presence in your room," advised Ms Rae.

Emily Fields is played by Shay Mitchell in the series, who was recently spotted glamming up the 2011 Teen Choice Awards in California.
