Materials experts have teamed up to create 3D kids' bedding sets featuring the Spider-Man character.
An innovative digital design and printing technique has allowed the creation of 3D kids' bedding sets. The University of Manchester teamed up with textile firm Character World and Brand 360 to create the range of duvet covers and bed linen featuring three dimensional Spider-Man designs.
When looked at normally the kids bedding shows a Spider-Man image, REMOVE but putting on 3D glasses to view the bed linen makes it come to life.
Professor Robert Young, head of the School of Materials at the university, explains: "We've broken dimensional shackles to create dynamic imagery on textiles."
The bedding firm adds that the technique will be applied to other characters in the future.
Earlier this week, it was stated that bed linen is necessary to reflect a child's development into a young adult.
Trends can change quickly and should be reflected in the bedroom, said Judith Crown of the Associated Press.
