Bed linen is 'regular last-minute purchase'
Published: 22 December 2008
People should plan in advance and buy their bed linen before expecting guests, as bedding is low on the list of consumer needs before their friends join them for festivities, only to be without clean duvet covers and bedspreads!
Christmas is a great time to get everyone together but it can be an organisational nightmare, according to a recent report by an interior designer.Annie Deakin of the Independent said that of all the things that are left until too late to buy, seating, temporary beds and bed linen are the least thought of, despite many people putting their friends and family up for the night over Christmas.
She continued: "It's not just sweating it out in the kitchen which drives hosts mad; there are extra beds, linen, glasses, seating and entertainment to be arranged."
As a result, it may be in your best interests to look into bed linen and comforters before the next big public holiday.
In a piece for Celebrating Christmas, it was stated that timing is everything in preparation for Santa's impending visit.
