Bedding is a 'fashion business'

The world of bedding provides endless trends for the buyer, an expert has said, with one memory foam tycoon explaining his entry into the market and the expectations of bedding customers.
A small business owner has described his rise to power in the bedding industry.Michael Rothbard, a memory foam bed manufacturer from New York City, said that growing up in the foam industry gave him a unique insight into the world of bedding, according to CNN Money.
He said: "Bedding is a fashion industry; consumers are always desperate for a better night's sleep.
"So you have to keep introducing new products."
Giving people business advice as to how to go about chasing their dreams, Mr Rothbard said that "intuition alone isn't enough", with studying business much more important than simply assuming that you know all about it due to personal history.
Last month, Rocky Mountain Mattresses said that memory foam mattresses were popular but many often overlooked the quality of latex options, with the material also being one of the most environmentally-friendly pieces of bedding available.
