Bedding is the single most important investment this winter, with one US national newspaper's blogger stressing the importance of duvet covers and comforters in the darker months of the year.
The master bedroom needs to be the focus of all designers this season, with the room being "all about the bedding" at the moment, it has been said.In a piece for a Washington Post blog, Tania Anderson stressed the fact that master rooms could become unappealing over time but that major changes could be made with minimal effort.
She said that bed linen is the number one item for the bed, with the right bedding changing the entire look of a room.
Ms Anderson added: "Even a duvet cover pulled over your old comforter will make a difference. And quilts aren't for old ladies anymore. They can actually be a little more affordable and just as warm as a comforter."
