This Christmas, the style for the home is to be simple yet traditional, with one writer noting that bedding will match a more stereotypical imagined holiday period, with embroidered bed linen part of all things good this coming month.

Christmas bedding should be 'simple and traditional' For Christmas in 2008, the gaudiness of holidays past is to be done away with and people will return to more traditional decorations in the home, it has been reported.

Writing for the Times, Katrina Burroughs provided shoppers with a decorative wish-list for their house, with bedding reflecting this style both in colour scheme and fabric choice, with cotton providing a nice organic element to the bedroom.

She continued: "This year, the thrifty-chic zeitgeist is bringing a fresher, more natural look to our preparations, with design gurus proclaiming a return to conifer greens and holly-berry reds: something altogether simpler and more organic."

According to iloveindia's Home Decorating Ideas, bed sheets can make a big difference to the visual appeal of a room, adding that cotton was the most popular fabric for the buyer.
