Keeping guests entertained over the Christmas period may be easy enough but their accommodation must be looked into carefully, one interior design specialist has said, with good bed linen and duvet covers coming in handy for their comfort.
The importance of maintaining a good bed for guests during Christmas is paramount, according to one social commentator.Usually being used as a storage area, the spare bedroom must be meticulously addressed before visitors enjoy their stay at a person's humble abode, according to Mary Vuong of the Houston Chronicle.
A little thought can go a long way, she said, with bedding and duvet covers coming in handy for the overall effect.
Ms Vuong continued: "Place fresh flowers and/or a personalized note to them in the guest room, which should also have such basics as an alarm clock, nice linens, a good reading light, assorted reading material and an extra blanket for chilly nights."
People may hope to emulate the bed-making skills of Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless after she won a charity event for her abilities, with proceeds going to the Starship Children's Hospital in New Zealand.
