Selecting bed linen fabrics "an easy process"

Deciding on what colours, patterns and textures of fabrics to choose for the bedroom is a straightforward process, says one expert.
Choosing which fabrics to use in the bedroom for items such as bed spreads and duvet covers is an easy task, according to one commentator.People should begin by asking themselves what mood they want to develop, suggests Margaret DeGange in an article for Furniture World Magazine.
"Knowing the function of the space, and the activities that will go on within the space, may help with the answer," she states.
Colours and styles of fabric for bed linen should be considered, with other fabrics in the bedroom complementing those used in the bedding, Ms DeGange adds.
Accent fabrics for furnishings such as curtains, bed throws and comforter sets should be selected with the scheme of the room in mind.
Too many patterns should be avoided, Ms DeGange continues, with a maximum of three or four suggested.
Earlier this week, homeware buyer Rebecca Fanelli said bed spreads and bed linen are hot trends at the moment.
She told the Herald Sun that people are looking to spruce up their bedrooms without spending a lot of money.
