Those wanting to buy a bit of bed linen soon ought to consider a lot before putting money on the table, as bedding fabrics and designs used for duvet covers and bedspreads can vary a lot, it has been stated.
A bedroom expert does not overly blame the mattress for giving someone a poor quality of sleep as it can be the bed linen used to dress it that contributes to discomfort.DirectBuy's Sara Shragal says that duvet covers and bedspreads with high thread counts, such as that provided by Egyptian cotton, is fantastic for enhancing sleep, with good-quality linens beginning at 180 threads per square inch.
Silk is a great fabric, she adds, due to its strength and ability to keep moisture away from the body in warmer months.
Finally, Ms Shragal says the weave of the fabric is also integral, with sateen being the most comfortable.
The expert concluded: "It might seem like a lot of details to consider when selecting something as commonplace as your bed sheets but it can make an unbelievable difference in the quality and quantity of sleep you get every night."
Murals Your Way stated at the top of the month that people should "splurge away" on bed linens as such a purchase can turn "chaos into bliss".
