Curtains and bed linen 'order of the day' on small budget
Published: 23 February 2009
The credit crunch is hitting the wallets and purses of many people around the country, yet one interior design expert has recommended curtains and bed linen as the best way to do the bedroom up on a small budget.
Remodelling a bedroom on a small budget is as easy as buying bed linen and curtains to change the look, it has been said. An expert at John Lewis, speaking to the Daily Record, said: "A quick coat of paint to brighten up the walls is a good place to start.
"You can make subtle changes by freshening up with a new range of bedding and curtains."
Dispensing tip after tip, the representative added that a single bedspread may be a cheaper alternative for people using a double bed if they only intend to dress the bottom of it.
Earlier this month, J M Hirsch of the Associated Press sang the praises of bedding, highlighting the need to prioritise it as the key investment in a new bedroom design.
