Organisation is 'key to bed linen success'

An American reporter has agreed with one of her writing sisters by highlighting the importance of bed linen organisation, stating that the closet used to store bedding should be organised to avoid duvet cover disasters and other organisational nightmares.
Beautifying a closet for bed linen is of utmost importance, according to an American writer.Writing for the Chicago Tribune, Barbara Nahany stated that in her opinion not so long ago, organising a bed linen closet was akin to toenail surgery.
She continued: "But I am now a true believer. Born again and feeling full of virtue. About to proselytize, in fact, as I nudge you too to join the Spiffy Closet Club."
Ms Nahany recommended that a maximum of two or three bed linen sets per bed should be stored in the closet, with any extras or seasonal alternatives stored out of harm's way elsewhere in the house.
Lining shelves with paper will also keep things fresh and clean for longer, with labels also helping the owner find things quickly despite it seeming like "organisational overkill".
Earlier this year, Terri Sapienza of the Washington Post classed the organisation of bed linen as the main task for 2009.
