Bedding down in ultra-modern way is 'not too comforting'
Published: 11 February 2010
There is no room for anything other than functional luxury bed linen in an ultra-modern house interior, so people are being warned that for nicer and freer designs, the new slant will have to be avoided in the home.
While the more edgy and contemporary designs for the home may appeal to many people, others will be left questioning the look if they want to get anything fancy in the way of bed linen, according to one source.Speaking to the Toronto Star, Karen Sealy, an interior designer on Canadian TV, explained how she is creating a master bedroom and ensuite for the upcoming Eurodale Dream Home feature which will be on display at the National Home Show on February 19th onwards in the Canadian city.
She argued that anyone wanting to use bedding that is anything but basic, one-shaded and functional will feel indifferent to the whole offering.
Mr Sealy continued: "Toss a cardigan on the bed in a minimalist room and you can ruin the look. I wanted to do something more livable, because I think it reflects the current desire for casual comfort and reassurance."
More relaxed hues in the bedroom are always recommended to people hoping to gain rest from their room, according to recent comments from syndicated columnist Marni Jameson, who asserted that the boudoir should be relaxing and not overly stimulating.
