Bedding is 'great asset for those wanting to repair bodies'
Published: 16 February 2010
The human body is a thing which regularly needs rest if it is going to be restored to 100 per cent of its strength; one writer believes good-quality bedding and plenty of hours asleep are the way to do it properly.
People need to get themselves to bed nice and early if they are to benefit from rest and relaxation which will help their body rebuild and become stronger in the long run, it is asserted.Cat Smiley, a health writer and fitness extraordinaire, asserted to North Shore News that by getting plenty of shut-eye on comfortable luxury bed linen, people will stand the best chance of recuperating.
She noted that sleep makes a person's body shut down to a base level so it can use minimal energy for recovery, explaining that muscle tissue repair, bone remodelling, ligament rebuilding and tendon reinforcement all depend on this downtime, with comfortable bedding making it much easier.
"So get off Facebook, stop watching TV and get to bed," Ms Smiley concluded. "There's truth in the Irish proverb that a good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor's book!"
Recently, Sissy Latino and Robin Preussker of Transformations Home Stylists told the San Francisco Chronicle that people ought to design their bedroom frugally, moving furniture and objects from room to room to shake things up, though cheaper items like bed linen can help with customisation.
