Bedding to feature heavily in Australian world record attempt

Ambition is the word of the moment for bedding lovers in Australia, as a world record attempt will use mattresses in the biggest display of bed linen-based dominoes in history - or at least it is hoped.
One western Australian town has announced that a concerted effort to sort out a world record-breaking attempt is underway, with ambitious citizens hoping to embrace bedding in their quest to get in Guinness' book. The Merredin-Wheatbelt Mercury announced that people from Merredin will be attempting a mattress domino at the town's show on March 27th, making up for the event's absence of over two years after its cancellation last year due to a lack of organisational support.
Linda Rooney, the show's committee spokesperson, said participants must each get a mattress and stand in a long line around the central oval of the event with their mattress upright behind them, before falling backwards onto one another, making human dominoes with their bedding.
"To achieve the record of more than 180 human dominoes, a number of mattresses are being donated," she said.
"However, anyone who is interested in participating is invited to bring their own mattress to the show in exchange for free entry."
It will fall before another interesting use of bedding gets underway: that which will be demonstrated during the Knaresborough Bed Race on June 12th.
