Bedrooms 'must have carpets for warmth'
Published: 18 February 2010
Most people take comfort from bed linen and other bedding in the boudoir, yet many people with hardwood floors often overlook the fun to be had from carpets.
Hardwood floors are not a person's best friend on a cold winter morning - especially if you have one in your bedroom, according to an expert on flooring.UK Flooring Direct explained that there are always a lot of instances where this type of flooring is handy or even necessary - in the kitchen, perhaps, or the bathroom - yet the bedroom is a sanctuary of warmth, as provided by bedding and comfortable flooring.
"Of course, this scenario can easily be replayed, with the foot landing on a nice, cosy, warm carpet and stepping forth via the bathroom, breakfast table and clothes hook into the day ahead," it continued, showing how much less austere the bedroom will feel with a carpet.
UK Flooring Direct added that the bedroom will always be a place where there is an emphasis on "warmth and cosiness" especially in winter, when the British weather is at its worst.
Chris Maluszynski has become an expert on carpets in recent years, with the businessman spending four years snapping bright and garish carpet designs in casinos after noticing them on a business trip, explaining that the loud designs are used purposefully - to keep people awake and, therefore, gambling.
