Primary colours on bed linen can create 'charming bedroom'
Published: 10 February 2010
If someone is aiming to create a stunning bedroom that is full of charm, they should consider infusing their boudoir with primary colours, according to a new report.
Primary colors are the way forward if a person wants to create a charming space in their boudoir, according to a brand new report, adding that reds, yellows and blues in unexpected shades are fantastic.Speaking to ShelterPop, Erin Loechner of Design for Mankind explained that striped rugs in such hues can bring an "otherwise monochromatic palette into a bright, colourful space" - something homeowners may want to instead carry out with their bed linen, for example.
A re-purposed bench will add to the simplicity of the space while the removal of a headboard above the duvet covers could also add to this overall effect, she added.
Small dashes of colour into replaceable accents, such as on bed lien or on decorative boxes and lanterns, can also develop a room while fresh plants can "create a natural and calming aesthetic, perfect for the lover of charm".
It follows comments from Allison Kelly of Fast Company, who explained that an investment in duvet covers made of silk could be perfect for people wanting the ultimate in luxury and relaxation when in bed.
