Relaxing bedroom 'must embrace natural hues'

As part of an initiative to improve the quality of sleep in a bedroom through decor, luxury bed linen and other items of bedding should embrace colours relating to nature, it is believed.

Relaxing bedroom 'must embrace natural hues' Design is absolutely central to helping someone get a great night's sleep, according to a new report.

Marni Jameson, a syndicated columnist working across the US, said that too many people are sabotaging their sleep by using crazy colours such as taxi yellow or citrus orange in their bed linen and wall paints, which should be replaced with more natural colours.

Furthermore, people can truly boost their relaxation by doing away with everything associated with work, whether it's a laptop, mobile phone, paperwork or folders.

By also maintaining darkness in the bedroom, people will be able to relax more naturally instead of having the light pervade their room and wake them up after much too little sleep.

Storage should also be used in the bedroom to ensure that any extra items are stored safely and do not stifle comfort more in the bedroom, said Ketan Sheth, the managing director of Goldmine Project Consultants in India.
