Wall accents could 'bring bedroom to life'

While many people may use their bedding as a way of changing the look and feel of a bedroom, many people may instead want to opt for an accent wall as a means of decorating their boudoir.
Accent walls are a great way of drawing attention to certain assets in the bedroom, according to an interior design specialist.Kristine Tucker told Helium said that the greatest impact of a bedroom can come from this addition and that people should choose a wall to paint a complementary colour to the rest, as the style need not be ostentatious and requires only different shading.
Bolder paint schemes, however, can bring about better effects, doing what bedding regularly does in creating a dramatic look and providing a talking point for anyone looking at the room.
"A unique accent wall colour that has its own interest and character can draw the focus of friends and family whom you love to entertain," Ms Tucker explained.
"Accent walls can have an eye-popping impact simply by adding a bang of colour."
Ozcar Guide's Rita Minogue recently recommended that people stick to bed linen to create major designs in a children's bedroom as the walls should be decorated with the future in mind, using basic hues to allow for an evolution of interior decor as the child grows older.
