Bedding central to home seller's teenage recreation
Published: 14 January 2009
A housing firm run by a husband and wife has recreated the look of a teenager's bedroom to entice families to buy their product, with bedding including a duvet cover and bedspread being messed up to give it extra authenticity.
Bedding is usually used in the most attractive way possible when entertaining others, but one couple has gone the other way completely.Abel Homes directors Tony and Maggie Abel have splashed the cash on decorating a £365,000 show home by giving one bedroom in particular that 'family feel' by recreating the typical teenage boy's boudoir.
With dishevelled bed linen and a comforter on the floor, alongside rotting food and other litter in the room, Mrs Abel believes more people will see the property as a realistic investment.
She added that it was not rational to have a teenager's room looking great and with comfortable-looking bedding so decided to make it "as messy as possible".
Abel Homes was created in the 90s and is based in Norfolk, specialising in small developments.
