Bedding is 'easiest way to transform bedroom'

Mary Carol Garrity of the Scripps Howard News Service believes the key to bringing magic back to the bedroom is through new styles, which is linked to the choice of bed linen.

She said that "one of the easiest and most effective ways to warm things up is to use textiles."

Ms Garrity continued: "If your bedding ensemble is lacklustre or showing some wear, invest in luxurious new linens."

The recommendation follows Cynthia Hammersley, who urged buyers in her article for the Republic to invest in the bedroom as it served as the perfect sanctuary for any person.
