Down comforters and duvet covers "expensive but worth it"

With winter still blowing a gale through houses across the country, the option of buying a down comforter and nice duvet covers may put many off due to cost issues but one bedding expert thinks it is a great investment.
Although many may not think it is a good investment, a down comforter is "expensive but worth it", according to a bedding expert.Julie Starr Hook of the Statesman Journal said that comforters using feathers needed a duvet cover to keep them in order, recommending that people look into their desired weight to get the most out of their money.
She continued: "For other comforters, make sure to look at durability and how it needs to be laundered. Many beds have oversized mattresses, so don't forget to compare the length of the comforter with your size of mattress."
Duvet covers are a matter of course with comforters, according to Coral Nafie of About.com, who states that it keeps the comforter clean and useable for a lot longer.
