White bed linen is 'great for guests'

People wanting to impress their guests, even if they are staying on a sofa bed, should look to getting some white bed linen, as duvet covers and bedspreads in this hue can enhance the comfortable experience.

An interior design writer for a national newspaper has emphasised the role of white bed linen in making people feel more comfortable when they stay as guests.

Lucia van der Post of the Times said that in expecting her partner's parents, she invested in this bedding commodity to make their stay relaxing.

She continued: "Keep the sheets white but some embroidery or lace doesn't go amiss.

Ms van der Post added that Egyptian cotton could be at the top of a shopper's list.

She concluded: "As for buying anything that isn't 100 per cent cotton - don't even think about it."

Last week, the expert highlighted the use of scented candles to make the bedroom feel nicer to stay in.
