Couples wanting to make their boudoir as green as possible ought to look into organic cotton or bamboo fibre bedding and bedspreads, according to a new report from a leading women's magazine.
Couples wanting to feel less conscious about their carbon footprint in the house ought to look closely at investments they can make in the bedroom, according to a new report.Lindsay Palmer of women's lifestyle magazine Redbook explained that there are a large number of products with a range of petrochemicals which may be completely ignored by individuals wanting to be as ecologically-conscious as possible - bed linen included.
Which is why, Ms Palmer believes, a person should make a solid investment in organic cotton sheets - those grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers - or choose bamboo fibre as it is a hugely renewable resource.
To add to this, people may want to grab a few energy-saving bulbs, as they will save money in the long run, though the expert added that people may want to switch the lights off when together on a night anyway!
Last month, it was Egyptian cotton which was in the limelight, with the Economic Times commenting on its "sheer comfort, enduring finesse and luxurious softness".
