Organic and recycled materials 'great for the bedroom'

When it comes to kitting out the bedroom, people ought to invest in organic or recycled materials as they give a nice, clean feeling to the bed, particularly when used in bed linen or duvet covers, it is said.

Organic and recycled materials 'great for the bedroom' Sometimes, natural fabrics are necessary in the home, it is asserted.

Mark Leevan of the Examiner explained that while many people put a lot of stock in their use of colour and other decor variables when addressing the master bedroom, it's actually the materials which will deliver the comfort the boudoir is there to provide.

Referencing the recent Green Home exhibition held by US interior design moguls HGTV, he explained that through the use of such things as organic cotton, people will be able to feel much fresher and cleaner when they jump into bed with their natural duvet cover.

However, for those wanting to use colour as well, Mr Leevan recommended the implementation of one colour throughout a room, as this can leave it feeling like a "calm, cosy retreat".

Earlier this month, Steve Coval of the Detroit News spoke of the great qualities of cotton bedding, noting that it is "easy to care for, breathes well and offers nice wicking qualities".
