New sleep-deprived parents doubtless appreciate bed linen more

Luxury bed linen is all the more appreciated by parents in their first two years of having had a child, it would seem.
New mums and dads are likely to appreciate luxury bed linen within the first two years of parenthood more than at any other time.Parents lose out on six months' worth of sleep on average within the first two years of the birth of their child, according to research by Silentnight, which indicates that one in ten had less than 2.5 hours of uninterrupted kip every night.
The average parent will be lucky to get four hours of rest on their bed spread during the first 24 months, although Silentnight sleep expert Iftikhar Mirza suggests that it's the quality, as much as the quantity that is important.
She said: "Taking an hour here and there doesn't negate this "sleep debt."
Ms Mirza added that poor sleep can be helped by making sure they "eat healthily to boost immune systems and take regular, gentle exercise to release endorphins, which should lower the risk of mood swings".
