People need to invest in white duvet covers when decorating their bedrooms.
White duvet covers and other simple, neutral bed linen are essential when redesigning a bedroom.Leanne Brownoff, a freelance designer, told the Edmonton Journal that this will help make sure the bedroom caters to all tastes, therefore making it immune to ever-changing fashions.
However, people should not be put off injecting a little colour here and there if they feel it is necessary, she explained.
The expert continued: "Use a splash of colour to invigorate the neutral colour palette. If you are not averse to colour, consider bedding in chartreuse or burnt orange tones."
For those who have opted for luxurious white bed linen, putting a light above the bed will help it seem all the more sophisticated, Ms Brownoff added.
A recent survey conducted by Travelodge found that July is often the grumpiest month for Britons, partly because they struggle to sleep during warm summer nights.
