People 'need creativity, not large budget'
Published: 16 June 2009
Those individuals looking to make home decor improvements to their bedrooms may want to consider embracing their creative side when it comes to using bed linen and other items as a big budget may not be needed, it is believed.
People who want to undertake a major makeover of their bedroom during times of economic strife should not worry about budgets but instead put more stock in their own creativity, it is said.Several members of the American Society of Interior Designers spoke to the Daily Herald about the range of cheap methods people can adopt in their quest to get a new look in their boudoir.
Interior design expert Sarah Anderson was one major contributor, who said that putting a new colour on an accent wall is cheap and can draw attention to one side of the room - a move which could be accentuated through the use of colourful duvet covers and bedspreads.
She added that a bit of paint added to old furniture can spruce it up too, making it look new and exciting.
Last week, it was reported by BigHospitality that bed and breakfasts are investing a lot of money in their facilities in order to take advantage of the credit crunch and dwindling holiday budgets.
