Bright colours are back in vogue

Retailers are seeing a rise in people purchasing brightly coloured items for their homes, it has been claimed.
There has been an increase in sales of brightly coloured items for the home, an expert has revealed, which may include luxury bed linen.Jan Williams, assistant at Wallpaperdirect, said designers are keen to put a modern twist on classic designs - and consumers are snapping the new collections up.
She advised people to select a colour scheme that particularly appeals to them when looking to redesign parts of their homes.
"Limes are quite popular, shocking pinks; there are a lot of shocking pinks around," the expert stated.
Metallic hues are also proving to be favourites with the public, Ms Williams revealed, as are highly textured products such as those decorated with flock.
Recent research from Halifax shows that more homeowners than ever are choosing a lick of paint and new wallpaper to improve their home.
The main motivations behind home improvements were to improve the look and design of the house or update and modernise.
