Bed linen needs to be neutral in order to stand the test of time, it has been suggested.
Neutral bed linen is essential for anyone who wants to be able to transform their bedroom, it has been revealed.Local decorator Elaine Carnegie told the Calgary Herald highlighted that making sound choices will ensure that bed linen can be used time and time again.
"White sheets will never go out of style and can last for years, whereas brightly coloured textiles may fade over time from laundering," she explained.
The expert also highlighted the need to invest in a good quality mattress, which will be a valuable investment considering how much time is spent under the duvet.
In recent days, 40-year-old Gillian Stevens revealed to the Daily Mail that changing her bedding and investing in a new mattress helped to tackle what she thought was hayfever.
It turned out to be an allergic reaction to dust mites, which can often thrive in old mattresses and unclean bed linen.
