Memory foam mattresses are 'great invention'

The development of the memory foam mattress is a tale in itself but its creation has helped thousands of people around the globe after it became commercially available, according to a bedding expert.
Nasa's development of memory foam as a means to give astronauts a better chance at withstanding "tremendous g-forces" is one of the best creations for the bedding market, according to an expert.Chuck Harmon, a writer for the Memory Foam Buyer's Guide, stated that the concept works by using open-celled foam to allow air to freely move between cells and allowing them to collapse and accommodate the body.
He added that health benefits were also free-flowing and stated: "Any area of your body that has excess heat, such as a fevered injury, will cause the mattress to soften even further where it is touching, making memory foam the ideal material for a comfortable mattress."
As a result, he said, pressure points are "virtually eliminated".
The Rocky Mountain Mattress Blog recently stated that memory foam can reduce back problems, with old regular mattresses known for misaligning backs and necks slowly over the years.
