Aberdeen locals report more problems with bedding
Published: 11 March 2010
Bedding seems to provide no comfort for people in Aberdeen. After all, a recent poll has concluded that people in the Granite City are not sleeping well - maybe they should consider Egyptian cotton bed linen?
Getting plenty of rest is something that everyone would ideally like, but not many of us actually get. This has been duly noted in a new poll by QVC, which has discovered that people in Aberdeen don't seem to be getting much from their bedding. The shopping channel questioned 3,000 adults to find out how many hours of sleep people had on average across Great Britain, discovering that Aberdeen was by far the worst, grabbing only 5.23 hours of rest each night and throwing up questions about sleeping habits, such as mattress and bed linen choices.
It was those from Norwich who got the most: around 6.38 hours of sleep every night while second-placed Plymouth clocked up 6.25 hours an evening.
The rest of the top five for good sleep were Sheffield, Cardiff and York, while the other four following from the poor-performing Granite City included Chelmsford, Belfast, Birmingham and Bristol.
Sleep has been an issue for the England team recently, after it was revealed that the team's beds in Chittagong, India are extremely hard, causing a number of aggravated muscles.
