Badly-sleeping Brits given bed tips for better rest
Published: 30 March 2010
Having problems getting decent shut-eye on an evening? You may want to consider a few purchases or lifestyle changes, as well as buying some new bedding, a new report has highlighted.
Following a poll by the leading national free newspaper in the UK, it was decided by the publication that plenty of Brits need sleep tips to keep themselves healthy and fit.The Metro carried out a poll of 4,000 UK residents and found that the average adult goes to bed at 23.41 - an hour later than three years previously - and later times for this bedding down were caused by money concerns, work stress and employment hours.
Jan Turner of the Sleep Council said that an investment in king-size bed linen may be key, as a bigger mattress can deliver greater relaxation for couples than a regular double. Additionally, separate duvets were also recommended as wriggling partners can take the entire comforter.
The Metro also found that feng shui may create a more positive room arrangement and help people relax with greater ease.
Recently, Sasha Stricker, president and creative director of decorateITonline, highlighted the increasing popularity of bamboo bedding - something which will likely appeal to environmentally-aware individuals using the likes of organic cotton bedding.
