Luxury bed linen investment 'necessary'

Bed linen is often overlooked as an asset that can add to comfort, yet the use of high thread count bedding such as that made from Egyptian cotton could deliver some real relaxation, it is argued.

Luxury bed linen investment 'necessary' People must prioritise a certain investment when buying things for the bedroom that will comfort the user of the bed, according to one voice in the world of interior design.

Bed linen expert Aaron Stewart told GlamNest that three things must be put at the top of anyone's list when buying bedding: if it is within the buyer's price range, whether or not the pattern is nice and how it feels in the shop.

Many people believe that bed linen which does not feel soft in the shop may become so after two or three washes, but Mr Stewart argued that such individuals are kidding themselves, especially if it is a budget high-thread offering which claims to be Egyptian cotton, but at a fraction of the price.

"I think the absolute essentials on a bed are a great set of sheets, a blanket, and a really soft down comforter," he added.

Theresa Rose told Helium last month that bedding is possibly the most necessary investment for a university student.
