Making a home as efficient as possible may require an investment in organic cotton bed linen, according to a new report looking into more environmentally-friendly bedding.
Many people in the current climate are looking to improve their energy efficiency, changing minute details about their home's interior decor to match these aspirations.Bedding is no exception, according to Robin Wilson, who spoke to the Epoch Times about the great properties of organic cotton bed linen and other similar assets as they are capable of delivering attractive health benefits to their users, especially people with allergies.
Ms Wilson, an expert in greener alternatives, said: "I know some people who have slept on their pillows for six years without washing them. Think of all the biological creatures you're sleeping with, dust mites, etc."
Hypoallergenic offerings are the best, she continued, such as organic cotton, silk or bamboo, but they must be great quality that will last a lifetime.
Ms Wilson concluded: "Five dollar sheets end up in landfill six months later."
Earlier in the month, The Frisky said that changing bed linen is a great way to meet seasonal changes, with floral prints being preferred for the spring.
